The only thing I don’t like about Syrian Hamsters is that you cannot keep them in same sex pairs i.e. two boys or two girls…cause if you do they will fight to the death. Robos and Dwarf Hamsters however will live (most of the time) happily together and play with each other. Why did I not get a dwarf hamster then? Because they tend to bit/nip more than the Syrians do when they are being carried or so I’ve read anyway. And I really don’t like being bit for no good reason =) So one thing that really surprised me about my hamster is that I never would have thought a hamster would just want to chill/sleep/eat/do whatever in a jar…yet as you can see in the picture there…she’s snoozin’ away. Go fig.
